Bio Claire Falconer was born in Enniskillen in 1978. She is an Irish painter and actress who currently works in Ireland, Italy and United States. Following a degree in Law with Hispanic Studies at Queen’s University, Belfast, Claire found the freedom to work prolifically and was recognised by the art world when she won a National RTE art competition in October 2001. Twenty-six of her paintings were displayed at the Abode Gallery in Dublin. Claire continues to exhibit her work around Europe and United States . She travels with her boyfriend, film director Christian Filippella, and has lived and worked in in Spain, Italy and the United States. She is currently in Los Angeles completing work for an upcoming show in the new year. Nonetheless, she considers Ireland her home and stays faithful to her original style, a wonderful combination of renaissance light and shadow, studied firstly under the renowned irish painter Ken Hamileton and then during her long stay in Rome. She cites artists such as John William Waterhouse, Louis Le Brocquy, Tamara De Lempicka and Dali as among her influences. With a discerning eye for composition and sensitive handling of colors, she is well known for taking several months to finish her paintings. Shimmering highlights and deep shadows, perfection and beauty all recreate the magic alchemy typical of ancient Masters. Interests Creativity of all kinds...Photography,Filmmaking,Music. Sometimes entirely by myself, where I create in oils, which I love. Sometimes I get involved in film projects which provide a whole different set of challenges. I find that a mixture of both keep me balanced. ;-> Meeting new open-minded people. Exploring new places. Spending time with friends and family.
